However, while my country's polypropylene staple fiber industry has advantages in independent research and development, it also has some shortcomings.

First of all, the scale of my country's polypropylene staple fiber enterprises is not large enough, and low-level repeated construction is serious.

Secondly, because Chinese enterprises do not pay enough attention to product production technology and quality, the structure of my country's polypropylene staple fiber products is unreasonable. For example, in the conventional product market, there are too many production companies and market competition is fierce; in some high-end product markets, there are only a few companies, and the product prices are relatively high; while in some special fields, almost no companies are involved, and polypropylene products are blank.

Therefore, my country’s polypropylene staple fiber industry needs to give play to its own comparative advantages, while accelerating the adjustment of the industry’s structure, intensify the research and development of new products, and actively introduce foreign advanced technology and equipment to improve the competitiveness of the entire industry.

From a global perspective, the production capacity of polypropylene fiber is excessive. Therefore, in the future, the development of my country's polypropylene staple fiber industry cannot be limited to the supply and demand relationship in the market, and the focus of development should be placed on product quality and product differentiation.
